Remove your Sandals!

Today David and I went to this prayer mountain place in Santa Cruz to pray for our upcoming wedding and marriage bidness...This place is AMAZING!!! As soon as you enter this place, you can sense God's presence. I know God is everywhere and lives in us, but there's something about this place that feels like holy grounds. (And you really DO have to remove your shoes/sandals because it's the first rule in the prayer rooms.)  There people can get away from it all and be alone with God to seek Him, with no time limit, with His beautiful creation all around. It's surrounded by tall trees and nature. It's quiet too if people aren't worshiping...me and David were whispering when we first got there. And there are different rooms/houses/cabins to pray in, as well as benches and trails that lead to even more places of solitude...

If you ever need to retreat from life's busy-ness to spend some quality time with God, consider coming here. You can just walk in and pick a room on your own. You can stay there as long as you want, even sleep there! Here's the link: http://www.yelp.com/biz/fasting-prayer-mountain-of-the-world-scotts-valley

After praying for our time there, David and I split to have some alone time with God, and words can't describe the repentance, restoration, peace, freedom, and surrender during my time with Him. So I will just share some verses that He  shared with me! Be blessed :)

"But in spite of this, the people kept sinning.
Despite his wonders, they refused to trust him.
So he ended their lives in failure,
     their years in terror.
When God began killing them,
    they finally sought him.
They repented and took God seriously
Then they remembered that God was their rock
that God Most High was their redeemer.
But all they gave him was lip service
they lied to him with their tongues.
Their hearts were not loyal to him.
They did not keep his covenant.
Yet he was merciful and forgave their sins
and did not destroy them all.
Many times he held back his anger
and did not unleash his fury!
For he remembered that they were merely mortal,
gone like a breath of wind that never returns." (Psalm 78:32-39)

"Strengthen the man you love,
    the son of your choice.
Then we will never abandon you again.
Revive us so we can call on your name once more.
Turn us again to yourself, O Lord God of Heaven's Armies.
Make your face shine down upon us.
Only then will we be saved." (Psalm 80:17-19)

"In the same way, you wives must accept the authority of your husbands. Then, even if some refuse to obey the Good News, your godly lives will speak to them without any words. They will be won over by observing your pure and reverent lives. Don't be concerned about the outward beauty of fancy hairstyles, expensive jewelry, or beautiful clothes. You should clothe yourselves with the beauty that comes from within, the unfading beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is so precious to God. This is how the holy women of old made themselves beautiful. They trusted God and accepted the authority of their husbands." (1 Peter 3:1-5)

"No, a true Jew is one whose heart is right with God. And true circumcision is not merely obeying the letter of the law; rather, it is a change of heart produced by God's Spirit. And a person with a changed heart seeks praise from God, not from people." (Romans 2:29)

"That is why I tell you not to worry about everyday life - whether you have enough food and drink, or enough clothes to wear. Isn't life more than food, and your body more than clothing?...So don't worry about these things, saying, "What will we eat? What will we drink? What will we wear?" These things dominate the thoughts of unbelievers, but your heavenly Father already knows all your needs. Seek the Kingdom of God above all else, and live righteously, and he will give you everything you need. So don't worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will bring its own worries. Today's trouble is enough for today." (Matthew 6:25, 31-34)
