TROOF or dare to be a FOO

"...the truth lives in us and will be with us forever.
Grace, mercy, and peace, which come from God the Father and from Jesus Christ - the Son of the Father - will continue to be with us who live in truth and love

Anyone who wanders away from this teaching has no relationship with God. But anyone who remains in the teaching of Christ has a relationship with both the Father and the Son.

...Follow only what is good. Remember that those who do good prove that they are God's children, and those who do evil prove that they do not know God."
(2 John: 2, 3, 9, 3 John:11)

Today I hadn't spent any time with Jesus because I overslept and had a busy day at work. But God thankfully gave me some time today to be with Him before Jackie and Phoebe will come over for a sleepover tonight. And He reminded me how much I need to be in His Word because His Word is TRUTH. We are so easily deceived by everything around us, even our own hearts (Jeremiah 17:9). Recently, we got our internet and cable back (YAY!), and I think unconsciously the messages on the TV and internet have been seeping in. And we don't even know it! But GOD'S WORD is the only way we can stay grounded in reality so we don't get caught up in the lies all around us. The prince of this world is the father of lies!

Some lies I've been fooled by lately: "I don't have time for God - my day is just too busy. // I've had a long day at work. I should just relax and watch this TV show now because I can always read my Bible later. // I NEED this, it's not just something I want. // I'll be a fool if I bring up Jesus in front of my non-Christian friends. // I have to make everyone happy. I'm a failure if this person gets mad at me...."

So my brothaz/sistaz out there, let's get into God's Word errday. If we are not, we are believing some lies out there whether we know it or not. And when we believe the lies, we are tempted, when we give in to our temptations, it leads to death (James 1:14-15). But God made it possible through His Son to be alive to Him, interact with Him, and grow in His truth. This dude D.L. Moody said, "The Bible will keep you from sin, or sin will keep you from the Bible."

And we gotta know His Word first to obey Him! And when we obey him, we prove that we are God's children and that we love Him.

Here's a track from Theory Hazit's new album: "Thr3e". This album is fresh! check it.

Time for a sleepover with Jackie, Phoebe, Kathy, Jaclyn, and I! Pray for a blessed night!
